The grassland or African pipit is the most common pipit in Tanzania. In flight the white outer tail feathers are one feature that separates it from the long-billed pipit whose outer tail feathers show buff. The 2nd row bird was at Sumbawanga (6-18). The bird with nest material was seen at Simba Farm on West Kilimanjaro (12-17), courtesy of Michael Harris.
